Terms of Service

The service

Subscription Guru ("Subscription Guru", "we", "us") provides watchlists of films and television programmes, title discovery, and planning of which streaming subscriptions to hold and for what period. By creating an account or otherwise using the application you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.

Subscription Guru is a planning tool. It is not affiliated with any streaming service, and it does not host, stream or sell any film or programme. Availability data and prices may be delayed or inaccurate, and should be confirmed with the relevant streaming service before you rely on a plan.

Your account

You authenticate using a Google or Microsoft account and are responsible for all activity occurring under your session. You must be at least 13 years of age, or the minimum age at which you may consent to an online service in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms or that abuse the service.

Acceptable use

You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service; extract data from it at volume by automated means; use it to harass any person, including through list names, shared lists or invitations; or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Your content

Your watchlists, progress and settings remain yours. You grant us the limited licence necessary to store them and to display them to you and to those persons with whom you expressly share a list. Where you share a list or send an invitation, the recipients are able to see the contents of that list and your display name.

Third-party data

Title metadata, artwork and streaming availability are obtained from third-party catalogues. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Metadata is also provided by TheTVDB. That content remains the property of its respective owners and may not be extracted from the service for other purposes.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including subscription costs incurred or savings not realised in reliance on a generated plan. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for use of the service, which is at present nothing.

Termination

You may cease using the service at any time and request deletion of your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate the service, or your access to it, giving reasonable notice where practicable.

Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Where they are amended, the effective date shown above will be updated, and continued use of the service following an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the service is resident, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
