Subscription Guru.

One place for everything you mean to watch, and a plan for getting through it without paying for four streaming services at once.

Stack your shelves

Your watchlists live as bookshelves. Every film or show you mean to watch stands on a shelf as a book spine; the taller the spine, the more watch time is left in it. Keep one big pile, or sort things into shelves like “date night” and “background comfort shows.” Drag spines around to decide what's up next, tick off episodes as you go, and the spines shrink as you get through them.

Find the next thing

When you know what you're after, search the catalog and drop it straight onto a shelf. When you don't, head to Discover: it deals you titles one at a time, like cards off a deck. Swipe right to shelve one, left to pass and see the next. Deciding on a single title in front of you is much easier than scrolling a wall of posters.

Hold one subscription, not four

This is the part that saves money. Most of us pay for several streaming services year-round while only really using one at a time. Subscription Guru looks at what's sitting on your shelves, where each title streams, and how much you watch per day, and lays out an itinerary: hold this service for these weeks, watch these titles, then drop it and move to the next one. You still watch everything on your list - you just pay for one subscription at a time while you do. The plan also exports to your calendar. There is a fuller write-up of the planner if you want the mechanics before signing in.
